Dear Pendleton Families,
It has been another amazing year at Pendleton School! Our students, teachers, and staff have persevered through an unprecedented season and will close out the 2020-2021 school year in just a few days. I would like to thank all of the parents, guardians, and families for supporting our students and helping them succeed despite the many challenges that we have had to overcome.
Over the last three years, my goal as principal has always been to create the absolute best learning environment possible; a place where students could reach their highest potential, both academically and socially. I’ve always made it a priority to lead by example, and to be positive and enthusiastic about the work we were doing. Building strong relationships with students and their families and supporting our amazing staff was a critical component. I thank you so much for being an incredible partner in that endeavor.
As an educator, I believe strongly in life-long learning. This can be exemplified by an openness to take on new challenges. Last week, an opportunity presented itself for me to become the principal of Buena Park Middle School. While I will greatly miss being the principal of Pendleton, I am excited to take on the leadership role of a new school, knowing that this change will provide me with professional growth. I look forward to collaborating with the new principal of Pendleton Elementary for a smooth transition.
Our students and families are incredible, and I have truly loved working with everyone. Pendleton will always hold a special place in my heart and it has been an honor being your principal during the last three years! Thank you for your unwavering support and providing me with wonderful memories. I cannot express how much I appreciate everyone.
