Principal's Message

Greetings Pendleton Families,

Welcome to the 2023-2024 School Year!

I hope that you had a wonderful summer filled with relaxation and you are recharged and ready to begin a new school year. It is an honor to continue to work with this extraordinary school community. I value the positive energy and dedication of our community, as we work together for the benefit of our scholars.

This summer, myself and many of our staff engaged in learning opportunities offered by Cotsen and Teachers College Reading and Writing Project . Our devoted staff have been busy planning and preparing for our scholars return to school. Our enthusiastic office has been busy enrolling new Pendleton scholars, ordering needed supplies and updating student files. Our conscientious custodial staff have spent the entire summer engaged in a thorough cleaning of our facilities, while working with the construction team to ensure our campus is prepared for the first day of school. Pendleton is truly a wonderful school supported by a caring community with a common goal of promoting high-level learning and nurturing responsible, caring students.

New Staff

Each year brings about the potential for incredibly positive change and this year is no different. We are very excited to welcome some new staff members this school year. Please be on the lookout for information about our new staff in our weekly newsletter.

Student Classroom Placement

A considerable amount of time and effort has gone into the process of student classroom placement for the 2023-2024 school year. Careful thought was given with input from staff, as well as an understanding of each individual students' learning styles. Classrooms have been balanced both academically and socially for our scholars. Our classes are structured to provide equitable class sizes and support. Moving students can create imbalances and inequities and we are confident that our scholars are placed in an environment where they can all thrive!

Thank You!

We are so glad that our scholars are part of a supportive community. Your commitment to our scholars does not go unnoticed and it ensures that Pendleton continues to be a positive place where scholars grow socially, emotionally and academically.

As your Principal, I am dedicated to ensuring that all of Pendleton's scholars and staff have a safe and welcoming environment where they feel connected to their community and can thrive. My goal is to always do what's in the best interest of our scholars and to encourage and help them to reach their full potential. I look forward to building upon existing relationships with all scholars, staff and families and to build relationships with those new to Pendleton.

Thank you so much for your continued partnership!

Warm Regards,
Mrs. Leota
